Simpleware provides the world-leading software solution for the conversion of 3D images into CAD, Rapid Prototyped and Finite Element models.
Simpleware offers three options for processing and meshing 3D image data:
- ScanIP: Core image processing platform
- +FE Module: Integrated module for Mesh generation
- +CAD Module: Bolt-on module for CAD integration

- New Scripting Capability lets you automate repeatable tasks and operations:
You now have the ability to create scripts which allow you to automate tasks that you would normally do with the mouse and keyboard. Supported scripting languages include Python, C#, Visual Basic and Java. More advanced uses of scripting include writing entire plugins such as custom filters or wizards. - Improved Greyscale-Based Materials Tools to visualise your material properties on the mesh more easily:
For meshes that require materials to be assigned according to the image data we have significantly improved how you set up and visualise these on your mesh. The changes include an interactive histogram tool, materials library facility and an option to visualise the materials as a colour map on the mesh in the 3D view. - New Calibration Options for Threshold Segmentation allows you to get better feedback on setting mask ranges:
New histogram and profile line calibration options in the threshold segmentation tool will allow you to get more feedback on the values you are setting. For example you can now get interactive volume fraction and surface area feedback when setting threshold values for porous materials. - New Fast Preview Quality Modes to optimise your 3D rendering for speed and memory usage:
A new slider setting in the fast preview rendering mode allows you to control the quality of the rendering. Therefore you can render a high quality model or reduce the quality to render more quickly and decrease memory usage. This is particular useful for high resolution micro CT datasets. - Other new features include: better 2D/3D view usability, new OpenFOAM and improved COMSOL export, etc.

Licence Options
We provide different licences for commercial and non-commercial use as well as teaching packages. They can be purchased on a perpetual or annual contract and come with full support and upgrades for one year. Different options are also available, including node-locked, floating or dongle licenses.
